Hunger Games wk 2 #teamsally

From Sean Saintill

Luke 10:27- And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

The Bible tells us in Exodus 20 that our God is God. There should be nothing before him. The Lord himself said, " Thou shalt have no other gods before me." When we usually read verse 3 of Exodus 20, we tend to overlook the meaning of that verse. When God said that, he did not just mean false gods such as Baal, Zeus, or mecca, he meant things that we have in our lives that we begin to place in front of God. Such as, when we decide to eat first rather then pray over the food that God brought to the table. When we decide to memorize every song on a music album, rather then take the time to even learn a Bible memory verse. Also even when choose to spend hours watching reality shows, and decide that the actual reality time between you and God is worth 10 minutes worth of prayer.I know i'm guilty of a lot of what I'm saying, otherwise It wouldn't be able to give such great examples.

The numerous of times God showed us undeserved favor should push us to thank and praise him. He created us, he offered a relationship with him personally, and he decided not to kill us all of during the great flood. We were made for his reason and to please him. If we claim to be children of God, our focus should not be on ourselves.
Some of us claim, "Oh Lord I live for you, and only you." In that case, a true servant of God would worship God till death, even if he was somehow condemned. That is how strong our love for God should be. We should Love him with all of our hearts, even if salvation wasn't an option. That is what loving God with all of your soul, mind, and strength is about.
Though I can't say that I live how I preach, I believe that God will give me strength to live the life that he wants me to live.
